This Terms of Service (hereinafter referred to as "this Agreement") is a legally binding agreement entered into between you and Chinese Learning Buddy PTE. LTD. (hereinafter referred to as "we" or "CLB") regarding the use of the mobile application "Chinese Learning Buddy" (hereinafter referred to as "the Service"). Before using the Service, please ensure you read, understand, and agree to all contents of this Agreement.
I. Acceptance and Effectiveness
* Acceptance: By clicking "Agree," "Sign Up," or "Log In," you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to comply with all terms and conditions of this Agreement.
* Effectiveness: This Agreement shall become effective immediately upon your acceptance.
II. Service Description and Subscription Terms
* Service Description: The "Chinese Learning Buddy" APP provides Chinese language learning aids, including but not limited to vocabulary practice, reading materials, quizzes, and other educational features.
* Subscription and Billing:
* iOS Users: If you subscribe via your Apple ID, payment will be charged to your iTunes Account at confirmation of purchase. Subscription automatically renews unless auto-renew is turned off at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. You can manage and cancel subscriptions in your App Store Account Settings after purchase.
* Google Play Users: Subscription fees, renewal cycles, and refund policies are governed by the terms published on the Google Play Store.
* Price Adjustments: We reserve the right to adjust subscription prices. Any changes will be notified in advance and processed according to the respective app store's regulations.
III. User Account and Security
* Account Responsibility: You are responsible for safeguarding your account credentials. All actions conducted through your account shall be deemed your own, and you shall bear full responsibility for them.
* Minors Policy: As the Service provides learning content for students, if you are a minor, please use the Service and its paid features only under the supervision and with the consent of a parent or legal guardian.
* Account Restrictions: You undertake not to engage in any conduct that violates Singapore laws, this Agreement, or infringes upon the legal rights of others (including unauthorized cracking or content theft).
* Termination: We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account if we reasonably believe it is involved in fraud, abuse, or other violations of this Agreement.
IV. Intellectual Property and Content Use
* Ownership: All intellectual property rights in the Service (including text, images, software, audio, video, trademarks, and copyrights) belong to CLB or its licensors.
* Limited License: We grant you a non-exclusive, non-transferable license for personal, non-commercial use of the Service. Any reproduction, distribution, or commercial use without express written authorization is strictly prohibited.
V. Disclaimer
* Service Interruption: The Service may be interrupted due to device failure, network outages, or system maintenance. We do not guarantee that the Service will be uninterrupted or error-free, but we strive to minimize such occurrences.
* Content Accuracy: The learning content is intended as a study aid. We make no guarantees regarding specific learning outcomes or exam results. Users exercise their own judgment and bear the risks associated with using the Service.
VI. Amendments to the Agreement
We reserve the right to revise this Agreement at any time. Revised terms will be published on this page and notified through prominent means within the App. Continued use of the Service after such revisions constitutes acceptance of the new terms.
VII. Account Deletion
You have the right to terminate this Agreement at any time via the "Account Deletion" function within the App. Upon deletion, your personal data will be permanently erased. Any existing subscriptions will be handled according to Apple/Google platform policies.

IX. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution
This Agreement shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Singapore. Any disputes arising from this Agreement shall first be resolved through friendly negotiation. Should negotiation fail, the dispute shall be submitted to the competent courts of Singapore for litigation.
